Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach: evoke the feeling of the presence of the ocean. | Korn Architects
The first Holiday Inn Resort in Vietnam, Interior Design was designed by Koi Studio to provide a visual and spiritual bounty for the existing resort. Vũng Tàu / 2021
Located in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, Ho Tram was surrounded by the natural environment with the smooth golden sands, gentle waves from an emerald blue seafront, and tropical forest behind providing the special natural beauty of the southeast coastline of Vietnam.
The Project Inspiration was founded on the culture and natural landscape of the project surroundings, and the potential location in Ho Tram, and then we defined our big idea as incorporating coastal beaches and jungles in a way that's clean and simple.
What should incoming guests keep in mind while taking the first step into Holiday Inn Resort?
Coastal beaches or especially the ocean are natural resources that are often associated with relaxation and refreshment. When coming into Holiday Inn Resort gives us a transmitting a unique sense of calmness and comfort and put the guest at ease.
The interior design for the new Holiday Inn manifests a new type of interior for large-scale hotels with a vast array of facilities that will make the stay of guests entertaining and provide activities throughout the day.
The interior design of the Holiday Inn is a fresh interpretation of the Hotel operator standards around the theme of water, waves, and ocean with design elements depicting the movement of waves, boats and the ocean ecosystem. The references are abstract and the combination of sand color with Azure creates an environment that feels fresh and airy.
Holiday Inn Resort created form and beauty of details via the interior theme
Our Interior Theme: coconut trees, driftwood, sand dunes, tropical beach, ocean grove, fisherman shack, reef, sandy beach, sea pebbles, blue sea, sea to sky, and the light reflecting off the water creates a soothing ambiance.
Based on the main theme of interior design we have fingered it out to create lines, wavy lines, and curved lines giving depth to a room by drawing your eye. Blended with the surrounded nature we visualize the overall line, shape, and pattern inspired by sand, wave, coconut leaves, and shell pearls.
The wave theme can be found in the feature walls of the rooms, the ceiling of the All Day Dining, and even in the central light feature of the Playlounge. This play lounge element is the central connecting point for all other facilities - from here one not only reaches the Dining room but also kids' playrooms, spa, art gallery, and on the upper level the cinema. A grand central stair connects the two facilities levels.
The upper level also houses an arcade, a music performance center, and a food court with a terrace that offers stunning views over the ocean and landscape.
