On the hills of central Italy, a 1960s house with an attached artisan business was transformed by the recent renovation into a two-family villa. The fundamental character of the project is given by a large marble base on which the whole building has been reassembled with well-defined and aggregated architectural elements that generate an architecture by addition. Scenes that go beyond the large base to extend over the surrounding land and communicate with it. Different materials alternate such as: exposed terracotta in the walls, glass mosaic on the columns, copper in the finishes and roofs, marble and bricks on the façades. Covered paths, arcades and a large terrace overlooked by floor-to-ceiling windows for the new ground floor apartment for which the client's request is to live in total symbiosis with the garden.
