Casa Margherita | FADD Architects

The owner of this eclectic apartment is a travel enthusiast and the rich contaminations in it mirror his character and domestic and convivial imagery.

These are Casa Margherita’s distinctive traits, an apartment on the fifth floor of a building near Piazza Amedeo in Naples, which has been recently renovated by the FADD Architects firm.

Inspired by Paolo Genovese’s film “Perfect Strangers”, the interior design project reorganises spaces in favour of conviviality, without altering the original distribution.

On entering, a large window allows a view of the kitchen, while the small corridor on the right leads to the sitting room area, which is characterised by the presence of a custom made blue bookcase and by a music corner, also custom made and wooden.

The adjacent dining area distinguishes itself for the presence of modern antiques decor – like Gavina’s Cesca Chair – mixed with classic decor from the beginning of the 1900s.

From here the kitchen island identifies the entrance to the kitchen space – custom made, with wooden finishes and a marble top – in which a step defines the boundary of the night area.

The minimalist master bedroom follows the entire renovation’s leitmotif, showcasing a series of travel photographs above the bed head, and circling off the atmosphere transmitted once crossed the doorway.
