Axis | 1001 Giving Living

As covid-19 has changed our lifestyle in recent years, we start to rethink about the definition of residential space in a new generation.

The revolution of the way people living in Taiwan is a great reference for us. From the antient courtyard house to the modern concrete jungle which shows the time has change. That’s why its worth for us to think about the connection from the history.

Axis is the concept of this project within a column in the middle of the space. And surround it the whole space has start a conversation. The furniture are flexible, so we can define different scenario by moving it. Also we combine it with artworks to create a perfect match in the room.

The curvy wall and arm wall lamp between living room and bedroom, brings out the flow through the different radiation. When the lights leaking out the window softly, it creates contract to the solid wall which makes the wall a huge art piece.

Just like fairytales, we open a secret door to another world.  Walking into the bathroom is like in the rainforest. We are trying to bring the organic environment into our life by the overlap curvy wall. We even can hear the water in the room, it’s a natural and peaceful little land in the house.

The pandemic has change the world, and change the way we used to be. Work from home is becoming the next generation. Its also an opportunity for us to rethink about the relationship between work and life, and trying to find the balance between it.
