The site is surrounded by heritage clinker brick buildings that are located off a commercial retail strip. The proposed forms of the addition are sypathetic to the strong vertical nature and hipped roofs of the surrounding buildings.
Galvanised and colorbond steel are the preferred materials chosen for their elegance and robustness, to complement existing brickwork.
The proposed self-contained apartments are designed with sustainable principles in mind, such as solar orientation to maximise natural light and cross-flow ventilation, plus the use of robust, long-lasting and reclaimed materials. A vast array of solar panels with generate power for most of the development.
Planning has been granted for project and we look forward to the next stages towards construction!
