The project concerns the recovery of a portion of an uninhabited apartment owned by the client to integrate an accommodation facility with new spaces.
The goal was to define new clear spaces and create an atmosphere capable of integrating new and old with a few simple architectural gestures.
The reference to the traditional forms present in the Sorrento Peninsula such as arches and moldings are reinterpreted in a contemporary key to make the space domestic and recognizable.
The rooms are redefined without having to carry out heavy demolition works. The materials used are few to reduce construction costs and make the new intervention easily readable and sustainable over time.
