The refurbishment of this flat takes its name from the well-known perfume brand CHANEL, as "Essence" can be found in small things.

This refurbishment, which is conceived as a partial renovation of the kitchen and bathroom, becomes a proposal of how to work an existing space, but not as a decoration operation, but as an operation of new connections between spaces, relating them in new ways, opening up gaps and diagonals, turning the flat into a more open and connected space, but without losing corners.

The "terrazzo" porcelain is used as a material that identifies the new in a global way, as a whole as opposed to the existing, a way of respecting the time of the architecture that it tries to renovate.

The rest is just geometry to resolve the encounters between the two parts, and light, enlarging openings so that the flat also enjoys its terrace.

Small actions here and there, a reform in small bottles.
