Omantel HQ

The Omantel Headquarters is the new home for Oman's first integrated telecommunications services provider. Proudly exhibiting contemporary design while paying homage to Oman’s heritage through Visual Energy Associates’ design. The result is an iconic exterior that draws inspiration from the Omani Masar, the typical headgear of Oman, after various overlapping wraps, it has a wavy appearance, precisely like the façade of the building. A connection is thereby established between the modern character of the group and the tradition of a people, representing the spirit and form of Oman today and yesterday. Custom lighting for Omantel HQ

We used our latest products and technologies to create a design for the exterior by Visual Energy Associates of the Omantel headquarters. The focus was to light the external architecture in a functional way in order to give it a unique and unforgettably, spectacular visual impact.

Expressive and bold this new symbol for Muscat sits boldly within the landscape. The illumi-nated form is inspired by a majestic flowing profile. Visual Energy Associates devised a de-sign that allowed the heavily glazed building to be lit effectively and provided a dynamic fa-çade by arranging the LED profiles on an articulated mesh grid. 



Externally, the structure of the building is crossed by a customised Rubber_3D. To accommodate the skeleton of the Omantel headquarters, the Linea Light Group gave the project a control system that can also be used remotely. In fact, the Rubber_3D elements are managed through a DMX protocol, thereby providing the ability to calibrate the intensity and colour of the product as de-sired.



Externally, the Ryo bollards with minimalistic appearance, in single and double emission versions, even out the perimeter of the structure. They are utilised to provide the correct support to direct guests and users, the Ryo guarantees complete freedom of move-ment after the sun goes down. 



The Suelo uplights, with flood optics, vertically illuminate and highlight the entire headquarters building. In the fountain adjacent to the entrance, the Admiral product was selected due to its IP68 rating and its unique AcquaStop® technology, that protects the components and power supply cables using an anti-transpiration system, it is the ideal device for underwater environments.
