Construction of office space on Ura e Tabakeve | artan raça

This project, intended for office space, is a missed opportunity in the center of Tirana. This new building will blend layered constructions from different times. The construction, the height of which was determined by the approved “Study of the Center of Tirana”, will serve as the final link to the chain of objects down the road “Punëtorët e Rilindjes” stopping by the feet of “Ura e Tabakëve”, a well known landmark and a reference point of the area. So that this juxtaposition is more of coexistence than a conflict, preservation rather than neglect, this project is performed on the side of the bridge with a delicate laconic style and with an illusionary curving in the height direction which is revealed with the gradual appearance of the first four floors in a (konsol) form. The glass surface that covers the three sides of the object contributes in making the object’s weight seem much smaller, balancing this way the bridge’s mass. The projection of the bridge in the context of a new architecture not only exalts the form, but also truthfully shows its age. On the other hand, the sculpting of the face of (kallkan) next to the neighboring building on the northern side, the emphasis on the volume of the stairs and its total covering with TECU-patina, and a reliance on formal architectonic sincerity, all seek to unify the form of the object and to eliminate the perception of an obligated façade with no opening for light. Gehry Ky projekt i destinuar për zyra është një rast i parealizuar në qendër të Tiranës në një kontekst me ndërtime të shtresëzuara në kohë të ndryshme. Ky ndërtim, lartësia e të clit ishte paracaktuar nga studimi i aprovuar për qendrën e Tiranës, do të përbënte hallkën e fundit të një zinxhiri objektesh që zbresin tatëpjetë rrugës “Punëtorët e Rilindjes”, përpara se të ndalonte në këmbët e Urës së Tabakëve, një monument kulture ky tepër i njohur dhe një pikë referimi për këtë zonë. Që kjo përballje të jetë më tepër një bashkegzistencë se sa një kundërvënie, një mbrojtje se sa një harresë, ky projekt është realizuar në anë të urës me një lakonizëm të brishtë si dhe me një përkulje iluzore në lartësi e cila realizohet me daljen e lehtë dhe të njëpasnjëshme konsol të katër kateve të para. Sipërfaqet e xhamit që e mbështjellin objektin nga tre anë bëjnë të mundur heqjen e peshës së këtij objekti dhe ekuilibrimin e tij me masën e urës. Projektimi i urës në këtë sipërfaqe të një arkitekture të re jo vetëm ekzalton formën, por dhe tregon me vertetësi moshën e saj. Ndërsa skulpturimi i faqes së kallkanit ngjitur me godinën fqinjë në anën veriore, me anë të evidentimit të volumit të shkallës dhe veshjes totale të saj me TECU-patina, nëpërmjet një sinqeriteti formal arkitektonik, kërkon të unifikojë formën e objektit dhe të zhdukë perceptimin e një fasade të detyruar pa hapje për ndriçim.
