"Light, airy, open, modern perhaps even minimalist feel ..." these were the first words with which the client described how he imagined the new project.

In this penthouse in the Eixample of Barcelona, ​​one of the initial keys of the project was to eliminate divisions that prevented light and ventilation from entering all rooms.

The Project is characterized by a large box as a central element, with an oak cladding that distributes the space into two areas, adapting to the structural composition of the building and separating the night areas from the day areas.

Regarding distribution, a clear division is made between these areas, always giving a larger size to the day area, rooms in which he spends most of his time. A transition space that is the kitchen, divided into two, the sink area in the wooden volume, and the cooking area in white lacquered wood so that the space seems larger. And finally, the night area, where we find the main room with its bathroom en suite.

In addition to wood, another material that gives it character is the green marble that has been used to highlight all the existing gaps in the wooden volume and the light gray microcement that unifies the entire floor ... In the bathrooms a combination has been used between 2x2 tile pieces in aqua green color and oak wood furniture.

The dining room is a spacious, open, and neutral space, with its terrace and 180º views of Barcelona.

Both the design and the choice of materials seek the well-being and comfort of the client and user.
