In a concrete sense, Luminary means a source of light, and when considered in a slightly more abstract sense, an inspiring success. The second definition, in any case, is very descriptive of a 21-storey tower block in the heart of Tampere, next to the railway station.

In fact, the apartment building consists of two parts.

Its lower part has seven floors and, stylewise, is as stunning as the tower block.
The views are certainly in a class of their own when you can look at the top of Näsinneula and the ridge of Pispala, and you can count the chimneys of the industrial city on the horizon.

The Näsijärvi, Pyhäjärvi and Roine lakes shimmer beautifully below and even the cars on the city centre streets look like small toys.

The three separate stairwells of Luminary all lead to the common lobby, which has been made into a stylish lounge space.

You can spend time in the lobby socialising, working on your laptop or ordering a coffee from the lobby service, for example.

People from the city can also enjoy Luminary because there's a café and restaurant with terraces on the two bottom floors.

In order to increase beautiful minimalism and spaciousness, sliding Eclisse doors that slide inside the wall were drawn up for almost all the flats.

The residents could add even more Eclisse doors to their flats in the place of hinged doors.

"It was a clear decision to choose the Eclisse doors that slide inside the walls for the flats as the site had such high quality requirements."; "These kinds of sliding doors save so much space and they're so convenient in terms of functionality, when you don't have to take the opening door into account in either room," says the architect Tavilampi.

Eclisse's technical support gets a lot of praise from both the installers and designers.
Eclisse's personnel helped the designers with considering the different door solutions and the builders at the work site in the installation stage of the interior doors.

All in all, well over Eclisse sliding doors were supplied for Luminary, with more than 30 sliding door varieties of different looks and sizes.
