Miduny - Combining Italian Flair with Brooklyn Ingenuity

Miduny is an artisanal furniture brand based in Brooklyn and founded by Italian-born architect and product designer Alessandro Preda (www.alepreda.com).

Furniture for the Here and Now

Miduny creates innovative and timeless handcrafted furniture that adhere to these five tenets:

1) Renewable Materials: we source all materials from FSC (forestry stewardship council) certified suppliers;
2) Efficient Shipping: all furniture ships flat in custom-designed boxes, reducing each piece's carbon foot-print;
3) Easy-peasy assembly: Our streamlined assembly involves placing each leg in the tabletop slot, through our signature pressure-fit joint, followed by adding two bolts per leg. The tops are stored in the custom box upside down, ready to receive the legs.
4) Tradition and innovation: our pieces span the divide between digital technology and handmade tradition, merging the best of both worlds, from traditional handmade joinery to 5-axis robotic mills;
5) Designed in Brooklyn. Made by master artisans: we obsessively design and prototype each piece, joinery, packaging in-house, at our Brooklyn workshop. We then collaborate with master artisans to produce small batches of gorgeous products.
