House with a great panorama
This compact house stands on a steep slope. The place offers a wide view over the Calenberger Land. Here, the “genius loci” becomes the theme par excellence for architecture. The landscape becomes the main point of reference and the house becomes a part of it. It literally grows out of the slope. The calm, monolithically built, elementary form, the materiality of the coarse plaster, the "earthy" color make a pact with the environment and nature. The magic of the place can also be experienced inside. The interior and exterior flow into one another, flooded with light. The central one-room celebrates the grand panorama.
