pictures of old traditional chinese building as inspiration sources to design a complex structure envolving both the individual and the social aspect of living.
The submitted 500m3 unit is a modular and flexible structure built whit local, traceable and sustainable materials.
While the inner parts as been thought as a movable structure of panels made of bamboo indipendent from the wall and structure. On the top of the building there are roof gardens connected together in order to form a unique "elevated park".
Looking at the project on urban scale, there are two different conformation.
The first one, created by the alignement of the buildings along the perimeter of the assigned area, works as external and protective boundary-wall.
Inside these "boundary - building" there are both domestic spaces (whit an external access) and commercial one (located on the internal side).
The second conformation is made of a series of building whit an internal green courtyard, in order to create a collective creative area. The commercial spaces are placed on the external side of the court. The arrangement of these building creates a series of streets, squares and collective spaces. A kind of small city where the artistic and commercial life assume a more sociable aspect
