Luana TACCONELLI.I parcheggi pubblici sono stati realizzati nel centro storico di Morro d'Oro, in un vuoto urbano retrostante il municipio del 1875.Il sito ha due importanti caratteristiche:1. è un belvedere naturale che inquadra emergenze architettoniche e paesaggistiche come l'ex-convento di Sant'Antonio, il Gran Sasso e la stupenda vista della vallata sottostante. Così abbiamo immaginato un aggetto panoramico per contemplarle.2. è visibile dalla strada di fondovalle. Così, il parcheggio caratterizza lo sky-line di Morro d'Oro con una leggera cortina di legno che funge da controparete al retrostante muro di contenimento e, al tempo stesso, lo nasconde, mitigando il suo impatto visivo. L'illuminazione, posta dietro la cortina, permette una suggestiva visione notturna del parcheggio, come un faro che guida i viandanti. WOOD CURTAIN: parking In partnership with architect Luana TACCONELLI.This is a car parking intervention that has been realized in the city centre of Morro d'Oro (TE), in an urban empty area at the back of the 1875 town hall. The site has two important features: 1. it is a natural belvedere that frames architectural and environmental beauties as Sant'Antonio's ex-convent, Gran Sasso mountain and a beautiful view of the valley. So we imagined a panoramic overhang to view all these beauties. 2. it is visible far from the valley floor road. So the parking features the Morro d'Oro's top of the hill sky-line with a light wood curtain that serves as counter-wall of the backwards retaining wall and, at the same time, hide this to mitigate its visual impact. A lighting system, put between them, allows a suggestive nigthly vision ot the parking, like a lighthouse to guide the travelers.
