About the project:

A young, happy and inspiring couple came to us because they wanted to buy a flat in a new building, in Plzeňská street.

In the beginning, it was a great situation because we could make some changes that wouldn´t be possible in the next phase.

The layout of the room was not designed well by the developer, in the living room, there was not possible to comfortably place a table for a family with four members.

The appropriate solution was to connect a kitchen islet that is also used as a workspace with the table. The table is a dominant part of the space together with bright lighting and it is also the centerpiece of the whole living space. The living part is placed next to the window wall and it creates almost half of the living space. So this place is naturally harmonized.

The space layout of the bedroom was not good, because there was little space and the wardrobe was very small. Because it was the only storage space for both spouses, we turned the position of the bed and wardrobe for creating more storage space. 

The appropriate intervention of investors was the requirement for placing a shower in the bathroom. The shower was not designed there originally. Also with the shower, we could place to the bathroom everything that we needed.

We designed the entering hall cleanly, easily and timelessly. On the left side, there is a common storage space and a shoe rack in a close wardrobe with one open niche for visitors.

The color material choice of this flat was sure from the beginning- the combination of grey, white, and oak wood. A special element is using shelves on the metal construction and using of ramp lighting that thanks to movable elements creates an interesting atmosphere and it illuminates the concrete parts and elements according to the focus, but it also serves as scattered main light.
