Association Palace of Cittadella | Architettura Tommasi

The executive project is about the restauration and functional rescue of the Association Palace in Cittadella and his transformation in a city museum.

The objective of the consolidation project is to satisfy the static exigences in the respect of the existing structures and of the architectonic and exhibition's exigences. The interior finishing works were designed with the aim of giving the new museum at the same time a sober and elegant appearance, in keeping with the historical features and urban significance of the building. The new interior layout maintains the main vertical elements, even though they have been heavily altered over time, and removes the partition walls to create a clear and intuitive path for visitors.

The restoration project for the external façades involves the preservation and recovery of all elements, with the intention of maintaining their material and aesthetic characteristics as much as possible. The project also includes the enhancement of the outdoor areas on the north side of the Palace, connecting it to the smaller building (formerly the Judge of Peace's residence), which will also be restored through a series of works aimed at preparing the spaces to serve as auxiliary exhibition rooms in support of the main museum housed in the Palazzo.
