The rooftop of GINZA SIX is about 56 meters above the ground, and as a rooftop garden, it is the closest rooftop garden to the stars in Ginza. We took advantage of the characteristics of the location to create an illumination that looks like a shooting star falling down on the rooftop. The monument set up in the center of the garden was inspired by the moment when a shooting star fell on the roof. Pillars of light spread throughout the garden. We created an illumination in the forest next to the monument with laser lights diffused by crystals. The effect is like a planetarium with shooting stars flying around in the forest. The laser light disperses where it hits and emits light like the twinkling of stars. The smoke that covers the space and the laser meteor light made visible by the breath of the visitors will give you a strange sensation that you cannot catch even if you try to touch it, and it will be like being enveloped by a shooting star. While illumination with a large number of LED light sources is the mainstream, we aimed to use light that would not be outdone by those with fewer light sources. As a result, we have created a new type of illumination that consumes less power and is not restricted to places where it is difficult to install illumination, such as floors and smooth walls.Ginza is also one of the most densely built-up areas in the world, with few places where people can freely relax, so this was an attempt to make effective use of the dead space on the roof of the building, given the limited land available.
