The challenges to redesign this apartment were : offering a more functional space by redesigning the existing distribution of the rooms, orienting the project towards a large living space and promoting natural light into all rooms despite the initially weak contribution from only two windows.
So, a translucent glass wall with oblique lines was installed in the middle of the apartment. It has the function of a bathroom and acts as a bridge between the sleeping area and the living area. During daytime, it brings in light to the bedroom. At night, it becomes a lightbox illuminating the entire apartment. That is really the cornerstone of the whole apartment. It contributes to creating an atmosphere.
There is also a movable kitchen island designed in recycled plastic and some other custom-made furniture.
