The brewery hall for the start-up "Braurevolution" is being built on the long side of a plot on which there are already several utility and residential buildings. The elongated structure closes off the existing courtyard to the north and leaves space for a small beer garden facing the street.
The context of the surrounding mixed commercial area provides an industrial architectural language and invites inspiration from Bernd and Hilla Becher's photographic works of old industrial buildings.
The simple volume with a gable roof is given its distinctive character by an attached light band above the ridge, creating an iconic roof form on the gable walls. By raising them and changing the material to exposed concrete, these become clearly legible front and back sides, between which the steel structure clad in Profilit glazing spans. The two openings on the east side, reduced to a circle and a rectangle, mark the entrance, which thus does justice to the traditional use of a brewery with a taproom and warehouse sales.
The architectural image of the new brewery hall is a kind of showroom. One sees, hears, smells and tastes the production of the beer varieties, the storage of malt and hops, the act of brewing in the kettles up to the tasting on site.
A set structure will house the cold storage and ancillary rooms. This can be dismantled in case of a possible other subsequent use. The open counter is located in the large main room, where visitors can take a seat between brewing kettles and storage tanks.
The atmosphere of the hall is industrial, its structure rationally rhythmic, the layout symmetrical. The entrance area offers a bar area for tasting and sales, which will also be used for brewing seminars and festivities.

Die Brauereihalle für das Start-Up „Braurevolution“ entsteht an der Längsseite eines Grundstücks, auf dem sich bereits mehrere Nutz- und Wohngebäude befinden. Der längliche Baukörper schließt den bestehenden Hof nach Norden hin ab und lässt zur Straße hin Platz für einen kleinen Biergarten.
Der Kontext des umliegenden Gewerbemischgebietes gibt eine industrielle Architektursprache vor und lädt dazu ein, sich von Bernd und Hilla Bechers Fotoarbeiten alter Industriegebäude inspirieren zu lassen.
Das einfache Volumen mit Satteldach erhält durch ein aufgesetztes Lichtband über dem First seine Besonderheit, es entsteht eine ikonische Dachform an den Giebelwänden. Durch Überhöhung und einem Materialwechsel zum Sichtbeton werden diese zu deutlich ablesbaren Vorder- und Rückseiten, zwischen denen sich der mit Profilitverglaßung verkleidete Stahlbau aufspannt. Die beiden auf Kreis und Rechteck reduzierten Öffnung auf der Ostseite markieren den Eingang, der damit der traditionellen Nutzung einer Brauerei mit Ausschank und Lagerverkauf gerecht wird.
Das architektonische Bild der neuen Brauereihalle ist eine Art Schaulager. Man sieht, hört, riecht und schmeckt die Produktion der Biersorten, die Lagerung von Malz und Hopfen, den Akt des Brauens in den Kesseln bis zur Verkostung am Ort des Geschehens.
In einem eingestellten Baukörper wird das Kühllager und die Nebenräume untergebracht. Dieser kann bei einer eventuell anderen Nachnutzung zurückgebaut werden. Im großen Hauptraum steht die offene Theke, wo der Besucher zwischen Braukessel und Lagertanks Platz nehmen kann.
Die Atmosphäre der Halle ist industriell, seine Struktur rational rhythmisiert, der Aufbau ist symmetrisch. Der Eingangsbereich bietet einen Ausschankbereich für Verkostung und Verkauf, der auch für Brauseminare und Festivitäten genutzt werden soll.
