Neve Yarok House by Dorit Weinbren

I've wanted to write this for a long time. It's a bit difficult to describe a years-long process of daily communication, with a unique, loving bond with the house and its owners – a very special family.
This connection can be summarized by looking at distinct moments right as the project was coming to an end, with only the final touches left before the official photoshoot. That's what it's like when the family already lives in the house, with professionals coming and going and us - together with the production team - taking pictures of the house alongside its residents, who're comfortably roaming around their home. I was excited to see how through years of planning and design, as well as a close working relationship, the house and its tenants now exist in a harmonious flow – these are the real moments of happiness and satisfaction in my work, knowing that I did a good job. Very good, actually.
On a 1700 sqm lot in the Sharon sits a residential house, a modern one-level rectangular structure with a basement. The house features 6 bedrooms with attached bathrooms that provide each resident of the house with complete privacy.
The owners are parents who wanted a unique house with a minimalist, serene look. With the family's love of hosting, the resulting concept reflected their personalities and preferences. The house has a "resort" feel, with hosting being the first priority. The connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces is preserved in the hosting experience. The house expands into nature, creating harmony between the outdoor spaces and the house's interior.
The entryway is dramatic and prepares us for the house's story. The main façade, cavernously facing the endless views of the surrounding fields and the pool, acts as a frame for the natural views, with no walls. The garden features a long, slim pool with grey mosaic tiling that gives the water an interesting hue. A lone tree sits on the giant lawn with the background of the natural woods around the house. Great care was given to the topic of shading and maximizing the Israeli natural landscape throughout the year.
The house has two "areas" – one for hosting and one for sleeping, the latter of which is tucked away from the hosting area.
The kitchen is the center of the house for this family, who's so fond of cooking and hosting – they are all amateur "chefs" who love working together in the kitchen. A 6m long island in the middle of the kitchen allows them all to be in the kitchen at the same time.
The living room has a marble partition, with a long leather couch facing the iron-covered TV wall. The armchair adds a cozy, colorful touch, with overlapping rugs creating an interesting composition. The coffee tables are made of wild marble with iron legs.
The master suite is warm and cozy, thanks to an intentional use of textile. A dividing wall sits just behind the bed, with a dressing area with a massive closet alongside it.
Each of the children's rooms was designed to be a 20 sqm independent unit, with an attached bathroom and an exit to the garden through a vitrine.
In the basement we placed a boho-chic living unit, with a home cinema and a home gym customized for IRON MAN training.
