When you own a beautiful prestine piece of land, the setting is definitly more important than the architecture. The owner located the exact spot for their new home to be constructed and gave very strict instructions that the home should blend into the surrounding landscape. The term 'the ecotone line' referes to the border between two ecological systems. The new home will stretch along the line where the meadow meets the river. This homestead was designed in such a way that the different wings has a very direct view onto some of the most beautiful farmland South Africa has to offer. The different wings are connected by steel & glass bridges and timber sliding shutters can enclose the entire structure from the elements. This beautiful homestead will be constructed in the near future and we are proud to provide a sneak peak into one of our latest Farmhouse designs.
