Mi8 | Maria Spada

Mi8 is one of the 5 houses which comprise The Clover, located in Plaza de Castilla, Madrid. Having been designed with 4 bedrooms in its original state,it was highly compartmentalised. The space has been reconfigured to meet the client´s needs: create an open space and warm atmosphere.  

While respecting the external dimensions of the unit as originally designed by Olalquiaga Arquitectos, the remodelling project set out to create a more continuous space, introducing a natural flow throught the floorplan and bringing the exterior to the interior with big openings to the garden.

The architect's refurbishment includes a lighting and gardening project, the bespoke design of all the wooden furniture to adaptad to the angled geometry, even corten sculpture forged on site. Everything equipped with the latest domotic system.

The house designed in warm neutral colours emphasizes all the artworks, collectors’ items, and other little artefacts which make the place a home.
