DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti is situated in one of the most iconic and ancient neighborhoods of the city: the Rione Monti. Proudly the first district of Rome, a dynamic and eclectic artery that has developed around the Via Urbana and Piazza Esquilino, on which stands the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.

The hotel overlooks Piazza dell’ Esquilino, and is a 5-minute stroll from Termini Rail Station - from here, guests can reach all the main points of interest of the city; the Colosseum, Roman Forums or Spanish Steps to name a few. The location offers an abundance of authentic Roman experiences, thanks to small art galleries, wineries, bistros with a vintage flavor, bars and artisan shops, a sort of "city in the city", locals say.

The hotel is housed within 2 different buildings that are now connected, one of which was the Commodore hotel and the other the headquarters of Reale Immobili, the insurance company that owns the properties. The intervention is not just a renovation; but an adaptive reuse of the buildings, curated by Gabriele Masina Studio and THDP and fulfilling the request of HNH Hospitality to create a contemporary social space.

The hotel interior reflects the lushness and sense of the ‘oasis of greenery’ that the Monti streets are famous for - where one can immerse oneself in the light of the eternal city, surrounded by nature from morning through to evening.

The category is a blend of business and leisure; sporting an informal, natural and fresh brand. The 133 guest rooms are distributed over 7 floors, with large windows opening onto great views of the surrounding streets and palaces.

Common areas include the 'Mit' bar and cafe, with an outdoor seating area overlooking Piazza Esquilino; the 'Mamalia' restaurant with an open kitchen and wine-tasting area; and on the 8th floor, the 'Mùn' rooftop bar and panoramic terrace with views of the Santa Maria Maggiore abbey. There are also 3 modular meeting rooms and a Technogym-equipped fitness room.
