The ambitious project completed in 2020 gave the Cider Group the opportunity — through its subsidiary 2SW — to showcase for real estate management firm Shift In its expertise with workspace revamp works, space design and office furnishings. Calling upon the talents of its design production company, Cider even developed bespoke furniture to match the drawings and plans proposed by interior designers Louis Denavaut and Hauvette & Madani.

BRINGING TOGETHER CUT TING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY AND CONTEMPORARY AESTHETIC

The project is located in a modern building clad in large glazed panels, that was dramatically lacking in charm and character. The confidential client wanted their offices to combine cutting-edge technology and contemporary aesthetic into a warm and welcoming atmosphere, closer to what you would expect for hospitality establishments than corporate offices.
For this project, the team has taken on the challenge to combine cutting-edge technology, acoustic performance, intensive use solutions and refined aesthetic, giving the space a unique appeal that contrasts elegantly with the usual standards of workspace design. To counter the cold feel of the original premises, a palette of greys was applied throughout the space, from the carpet floors and travertine cladding to the curtains, bringing both a great deal of light and a comforting sense of warmth.
The inner walls were lined with natural wood panelling, which was also used for the acoustic coffer ceilings. The warm feel of this high-end material is underscored by the soft curves of the metal doors and glazed walls. Touches of brushed steel in the kitchen and sparkling aluminium in the hall lend the concept a distinctive modern twist.

UNIQUE FURNISHINGS

As for the furniture, it was largely custom-designed for the project by Louis Denavaut and Hauvette & Madani, and manufactured by the Cider Group’s design production company. The result is a space entirely furnished with bespoke pieces: the Onigiri sofa with its rounded lines inspired by the famous Japanese rice ball treats, the counters, the bench seats, the adjustable desks and the various meeting tables.
Executive desks incorporating height adjustment technology consist of commashaped tops — a nod to the interior concept — resting on powder-coated legs.
A monumental meeting room in heat-treated oak features carved recesses for hide-away screens and a complete video conferencing system housed inside its leg.
