Our project is about telling the emotion of the vision of the world with a powerful reflection on the beauty of cartography. The maps of the cities we live in are a writing territory actually full of pathos and surprises.
The leather skin is the substrate which they are engraved on by using laser technologies. The leathers are not part of the typical industrial circuit of leather goods: that would be far from us, in terms of philosophy and sensitivity.
What we carry out on leather skins is a sort of "palingenesis", a regeneration, without intervening neither on the color nor on the shape, in respect of the life they have represented.
Re-drawing cities is a process of reduction from the image to an almost abstract structure: it stands for an artistic gesture of interpretation of the place itself, composed of essential lines and balances. The result is a geometric work where daily life and art meet. You will be immersed in labyrinthine cities that seem to capture you in these shapes, featured by geometries and motifs ready to be discovered.
City maps enter into a relationship with the leather support which transforms itself into a geographical element: this is the beauty of opposites, their ability to create a relationship between them.
