For the architects, designing the new movie theater of Feurs started by questioning the relation between cinema and use of space to deliver an experience that sublimate the experience of "going to the movies".
The building consist of a dark opaque monolith made of concrete, following the soft curve of the natural terrain, the monolith opens at the bottom of the slope with large windows bays.
The form and the materiality makes sense, you see this massive black box, you get intrigued and you start wondering what lies in it ? What you are gonna discover inside ?
