Grey timber family home in Riga Riga / Latvia / 2018

A family home in Riga. Built off-site as a prefab, placed on the land to sit beside and complement the birch trees. The windows connect the indoors to the outdoors, so the architecture, interior and landscaping come together as one whole.

Every window reveals a different world. The family's values shine through such as their love for books illustrated by the home library. The children's rooms are inspired by the pillow forts, tents and hideaways of the parents' own youth. A safe haven in the nurturing environment of the family home.

The timber cladding is sourced in Estonia and treated with the Tikkurila Grey Wood product.

Team: Zane Tetere – Sulce, Kristaps Sulcs, Dins Vecans.
