This project, co-authored with the architect Filipe Gonzalez, developed the main building of the Research Center of the Faculty of Human Kinetics, to be built at Oeiras Valley - Oeiras, Portugal.
Five minutes from Lisbon, located at Monsanto Forest Park, the largest green patch in the city, this building will nest the largest research center of sports in Portugal. The main purpose of this structure is to house all research laboratories linked to sports I&D.
The project started in July 2018 and ended at November 2020. The building closes the main square of the ancient faculty headquarters which was unfinished and half occupied by a provisional classroom facility. We developed a simple layout solution, for people and car circulation within the campus area, and we tried to manage the details of the building with landscape architectural solutions.
