Incassata naturalmente tra le dolci colline Senesi questa cantina affiora letteralmente dalla terra attraverso una spaccatura modellata che riprende l’idea di una’’ forra ‘’,una crepa artificiale nel terreno che mimetizza il costruito proteggendolo al disotto del suolo. La cantina è ricavata nella parte più profonda dell’edificio ben isolata dagli sbalzi della temperatura esterna dove sono stipate le botti della barriccaia. Il piano superficiale invece accoglie gli spazi per la lavorazione dell’uva, gli uffici, l’area per l’accoglienza e la degustazione. L’idea progettuale è quella di un ‘architettura il meno invasiva possibile per preservare la bellezza del paesaggio agricolo, un patrimonio e una ricchezza da preservare e custodire gelosamente. L’architettura si esprime attraverso un linguaggio che trova nella idea della sostenibilità ambientale l’espressione di un’architettura che cerca un legame fisico con il paesaggio naturale. La copertura verde in struttura di legno lamellare realizza quello sposalizio tra natura e costruito realizzando quell’isolamento naturale a protezione degli spazi interni, mentre una facciata trasparente con alte vetrate garantisce una illuminazione naturale per tutto l’arco della giornata mitigata da un aggetto della copertura che consente riparo per una area esterna naturale proseguimento degli spazi interni.

Naturally embedded in the rolling hills of Siena, this winery literally emerges from the earth through a modeled crack that takes up the idea of ​​a 'gorge', an artificial crack in the ground that camouflages the building protecting it beneath the ground. The cellar is located in the deepest part of the building, well insulated from changes in the external temperature where the barrels of the barrel cellar are crammed. The surface level, on the other hand, houses the spaces for processing grapes, the offices, the reception and tasting area. The design idea is that of an architecture as less invasive as possible to preserve the beauty of the agricultural landscape, a heritage and a wealth to be jealously preserved and treasured. Architecture is expressed through a language that finds in the idea of ​​environmental sustainability the expression of an architecture that seeks a physical link with the natural landscape. The green roof in a laminated wood structure achieves that marriage between nature and the building by creating that natural insulation to protect the interior spaces, while a transparent facade with high windows guarantees natural lighting throughout the day, mitigated by an overhang of the roof. which allows shelter for a natural outdoor area continuation of the interior spaces.
