Caruso Acoustic panels were installed at the headquarters of Malvestio S.p.A, a leading Italian company that specialises in designing and producing furniture and equipment for hospitals, clinics and facilities for the elderly.

To make production more efficient, the Padua-based company decided to expand its headquarters in Murelle (Villanova di Camposampiero). The whole project focused on achieving two fundamental objectives: creating spaces dedicated to staff meetings and offices separated by mobile glass walls, enabling the company to adapt to changing work needs with ease, while ensuring greater comfort in terms of acoustics, heating and air conditioning.

Caruso Acoustic took part in the project, supplying a number of Nuvola suspended sound-absorbing panels, with groups of panels varying in size and format installed in offices, meeting rooms, the coffee-break area and the large open hall inside.
The solution developed by the designers included the integration of LED ceiling-light systems and motion sensors, ensuring, with just one product, that rooms and workstations were properly lit.

The flexibility and versatility of the product enabled sound-absorbing material to be distributed in a logical way throughout the entire facility: the adjustable cables used to secure the panels made it possible to position them at the right distance from the ceiling to intercept sound waves from desks and worktops. The lowering of the acoustic panels also made it possible to create a decent upper cavity channelling air from the main ventilation systems.

The wide range of covering-fabric shades available resulted in balanced colours within offices, with various rooms’ sunlight exposure and specific requirements related to activities carried out in them taken into account.

The project was supervised by engineer Franco Cecchini in collaboration with architect Benedetta Cecchini of the Cecchini Engineering and Architecture Studio, stating that 'In terms of product quality, precise installation and work timing, the Nuvola panels by Caruso Acoustic fully lived up to the expectations of the client and designers'.
