Private Villa | Dimiourgiki S.A.

The architectural study proposes the design of a private house with swimming pool, located in Kasteli region of Kissamos. The house consists of two buildings facing different directions, north and east. This choice provides the house with two different views. Also, because of the plot’s altitude and ideal location, the house offers a panoramic view of Kasteli’s bay.

The house has two floors and a large swimming pool. Each level was designed to serve a specific purpose, with the first level dedicated to the living spaces and the second floor designed for the private spaces. The ground floor is in total 115m2 and includes a spacious living-dining area with a kitchen that extends across the entire apartment width. From the balcony on the north side, through the interior and all the way to the horizon, nothing in the apartment blocks the clear view. The ground floor also includes a pantry and a large bathroom. The upper floor is 95m2 and includes all the private spaces of the house. A master bedroom with a private bathroom and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The master bedroom has a view to the north and to the east side of the plot.

Interior design was based on layers and interactions of premium materials, such as marble, granite and solid wood, also fascinating textures and high-contrast surfaces. Most of the furniture were custom made, designed exclusively for the property. In the living room of the house, a big surface has been covered by wood so as to offer a warm atmosphere. The contrasting, yet matching mix of materials creates a feeling of both, calm intimacy and excitement in the living area.

For the wood-burning stove, we chose the brand “Palazzetti” as it is the top company in this category of products. We chose this particular model due to the design and the steel surface that matches perfect the rest of the interior.

 For the private bathroom of the master’s bedroom we have chosen mosaic tiles in dark and light shades.

At last, modern lighting was selected based on its design and quality of light.
