La Maison Goutal is the first Asia flagship store for GOUTAL - the French perfume house founded by late style doyenne, Annick Goutal. Based on GOUTAL’s main brand pillars: stories, imagination, culture and art, the boutique was envisioned as a Parisian maison for its late founder. The design presents itself as a curated sensory journey, beginning before one enters the boutique. The street façade pays homage to French architecture with a trio of arches composed of limestone, bronze and marble. The interiors are crafted to showcase individual brand touchpoints, with a warm palette of light stones and warm woods. Several recurring motifs are included as a nod to their iconic fragrance bottle, from fluted surfaces to the golden wall sconces. A key highlight of the flagship is the floor-to-ceiling "Perfume Organ" – a unique take of Annick Goutal’s original work station. The "Story Garden” is where GOUTAL’s tales come to life through immersive digital displays, framed by hand-painted murals that depict stories of the scents. The "Sensory Lounge" is a new experimental addition to GOUTAL’s retail journey. Set at the wing of the boutique to give added privacy, the cozy enclave is designed for exclusive wine and perfume pairing workshops. These spaces are connected by a Parisian Chevron-patterned floor and intricate hand-painted wall coverings. Other delicate details complete the design, including handcrafted fragrance counters, and a one-off bronze lotus table, crafted by furniture artisan, Alexander Lamont.
