The mini-apartments was developed from the renovation of an existing house in a famous neighborhood inside the Mexico City, named as Condesa, this area is popular for its location also the amenities you can find it.

The design of the apartments is based on the idea to preserve the structural axes of the original house, as many walls as possible and generating 3 courtyards in two different levels, which have the function to lighting and ventilating the spaces next to them in a natural. Also, creating a relationship between the interior space and the exterior, understanding the exterior space as an extension from the interior activities.

The original facade didn´t have an aesthetic style or something to catch the view into the commercial space in the lower level, for this reason we redesign it, having in mind the context was is situated, the proportions, the materials, the windows, the colors, etc. , but we taking care to didn´t fall in a copy of the art deco style or the facades built in that era, because the facade doesn´t belong to this time. Hence, for the original trace of the house predominates the mass walls than the vain for windows, and for the upper level is more translucent prevailing the windows, to contrast the old part to the new section.  The façade reinterprets the old of the its context and trying to fit in them without forget the time which belongs.
