Terraces | OAOA Architects
Riyadh / Saudi Arabia / 2016
Inspired by desert dunes, the undulating building mass emerges from and recedes into the ground, allowing for garden access on multiple levels. Various terraces harbour different activities, the sunken half levels take advantage of the earth’s natural cooling properties while shading louvres provide protection from the sun, with north-facing windows opening out to luscious garden views, and its cascading waterfall feature and pool.
