Extention of the DDR Summer house.
Building in existing contexts brings many interesting challenges for architects, both in aesthetic and technical terms.
The aim was to preserve the former face of the GDR summer house as much as possible, while at the same time both parts, new and existing building, should reflect the spirit of their time and together form a harmonious whole.
It was also important to me to reuse the structures and elements of the existing building, which further strengthened the connection between the new and the old.
From a technical point of view, both parts must meet modern requirements for comfort and energy saving after completion.
