This is a renovation of a house, recently owned by a young family who is starting their dream home journey. A home where they begin new traditions, have social gatherings, recharge and, of course, comfortably enjoy life.
To start the story, our initial concept was based on the Client’s love of deep green colour and nature, cultural heritage and travel history. Having an existing collection of art, special souvenirs and curiosities, furniture including antique pieces, the task was to incorporate it into the new interior. Which, would let the visitors to go on a discovery adventure within the space.
As you enter the house, you are greeted in a bright colourful lobby. Big opening on the opposite wall brings a lot of natural light and invites you in the guest room, a more sophisticated space. Dark green walls with french moulding, parquet in herringbone pattern, soft leather furniture give it an elegant feel. The room is connected to the living room on one side, following the same style and the kitchen on the other.
Kitchen plays an important role in this house. It is a lively space which combines function with aesthetics. Client’s passion for cooking and entertaining gave the idea of merging formal dining into the kitchen, proudly giving this room “the heart of the house" status. Considering every detail, carefully designed kitchen cabinets with smart storage solutions accompanied by conveniently located appliances create an easy-to-use space. With no physical boundaries, division of functional and dining areas lies in the change of floor materials and furniture, allowing a fluid transition. Acting as a feature, the extension of the backsplash tiles along the full width of the wall draws a clean straight line through the centre, defining the two materials. Big opening on the opposite wall connects formal dining with the rest of the house, adding more natural light and transparency. With bold combination of textures and colours this kitchen manifests its individuality.

As a transitional space connecting all the rooms, corridor has a combination of materials  used throughout the design, bringing this sophisticated collage together.
