Philiaz is a concept restaurant and a cocktail bar located in the heart of Caldaro, on the Wine Road, a panoramic location surrounded by the vineyards in the Oltradige area. The Bergundtal architectural studio has chosen Pedrali furnishings for the terrace, the restaurant and the cocktail bar.

The name draws inspiration from Phileas Fogg, the protagonist of the famous novel “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne in which the main topic is the journey. Philiaz in fact makes a journey around the world possible thanks to the dishes inspired by the places visited by the novel’s protagonist.

An entrance leads to a wide outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery and set up with contemporary and versatile furniture. Tribeca armchair, designed by CMP Design and recognizable for its summery traits, draws inspiration from the classic Sixties patio chairs made from steel and woven material. They are here proposed in white and combined with Arki-Base tables.

A pleasant and relaxing outdoor living room comes to life thanks to Reva collection, designed by Patrick Jouin, Stylus tables and Island poufs. It is a true corner of relaxation in which Reva sofas and lounge armchairs release their essence: smooth lines and generous sizes that call to mind the typical dreamy sensations of summertime.

The project of the space was curated by Bergundtal architectural studio based in Brunico. It is a true corner of relaxation in which Reva sofas and lounge armchairs release their essence: smooth lines and generous sizes that call to mind the typical dreamy sensations of summertime. The same terrace sees Babila armchairs, designed by Odo Fioravanti, proposed in a grey version with polypropylene shell, matched with Ypsilon tables designed by Jorge Pensi.

The warm and cosy indoor is characterized by the shades of grey and brown at the entrance of the cocktail bar and by darker tones in the restaurant dining room, where wide windows enable the entrance of natural light allowing moreover to enjoy the surrounding landscape offering an exclusive view on the hills and the near stretch of water. Pedrali solutions recall a sophisticated and trendy mood. The emerald green of upholstered Babila armchairs gives more elegance to the restaurant and dialogues with the space while defining a comfortable atmosphere. A more industrial look is, on the other hand, suggested by Arki-Base tables with central base and by Arki-Table that perfectly fit into this setting.

Babila collection is able to move along tradition and innovation with great agility and its strength lies in its simplicity and directness, to recall a timeless shape. Because of this, together with for the restaurant and for the outdoor, it was selected for the cocktail bar also, in which the contrast between light and dark as well as between classic and modern prevails. Barstools and armchairs with padded shell are paired with Inox tables.
