The house is situated on 90 acres in Joshua Tree.
House was designed to reflect the beauty of dramatic rocky desert surrounding.
All exterior walls are made of highly heat reflective “Solarcool” glass, closed cel foam “Cool Roof” insulation system and location of the building behind the hill, that protects it from harsh afternoon sun creates comfortable and stable interior environment.
Building is equipped with solar water heating system.
Thermal mass of concrete and 100 feet long swimming pool water helps in keeping inside temperature constant during hot days and cool nights.

The disturbance of the natural grounds has been minimized by cantilevering big portion of the building above desert rocks.
Beside the required dirt access road nothing else was disturbed and there is no hardscape or landscape.

The building reflects the beauty of the desert and changes constantly its appearance and relation to the surrounding constantly changing natureu.
