10 architectural researches of Michele De Lucchi and AMDL CIRCLE

AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi are developing a architectural research around 10 aspects concerning all aspects of individual and collective interaction. From the spaces we call home to public spaces, from mobility to hospitality, from healthcare to the office of the future.

In a constantly changing world, we are challenged to produce architectures from which to set off for future destinations. Traditional learning, as a sum of notion and knowledge, does not suffice the needs of contemporary society. Today we have to learn, but also to unlearn.

AMDL CIRCLE research is designed to infuse humanist values with the technological potential, in a context of responsibility for the natural world.

In a moment where habits and ideas undergo regeneration home and hospitality - conceived as a starting point or an outdoor separation- is in full metamorphosis.

Hotels will also undergo evolution, called to mediate between the outdoor and indoor, alternating moment of introspection and collective engagement in a natural context.

For these reasons, AMDL CIRCLE research has designed Atelier Station and Sweet Suite Station, modular and transportable architectures, designed to minimize the environmental impact in both construction and transport phases. The absence of foundations allows them to be placed in the best landscape and natural context to entice creativity and contemplation. The construction scale is human centered to support creativity and comfort.

Atelier Station explores ideas for designing a prefabricated short stay residential studio structure that provides guests with a compact place to rest, think and create.

They are small self-sufficient structures that can be grouped to form inspirational settlements that engage with natural settings.

Sweet Suite Station offers a solution to the “diffused hotel” concept that merges comfort and luxury with a self-sufficient structure.

The relationship between outdoor and indoor is also undergoing a metamorphosis: the window is no longer a separation tool but a tridimensional space for work and creativity, constantly enriched by the dialogue with nature
