For this modern villa, with lots of glass, the owners wanted to have a sawn [ sometimes called tate after the floor that has been fitted in the tate modern museum in London] smoked, oak floor. The clients chose for a 340 mm wide floor in length up to 5 meter. For stairs same material has been used to connect the groundfloor with the upperfloor.
