Residenza in Versilia

ITA - Una villa in stile Liberty affacciata su uno dei tratti più celebri del lungomare della Versilia è stata appena restaurata dallo studio PJK-InnDesign, con accorgimenti stilistici che fondono la tradizione artigianale italiana con suggestioni provenienti dalla passione dei proprietari per l’arte e per i viaggi.

Il progetto – curato dagli architetti Massimiliano Tafaro e Alessandra Prezzi – ha preservato l’integrità degli elementi architettonici originali, ridistribuendo lo spazio interno, alterato da precedenti interventi, in modo da ricreare l'ariosità e la compostezza tipica degli edifici del primo Novecento.

Originale e personalissima è invece la scelta di fondere ispirazioni ed elementi decorativi provenienti da tradizioni lontane nello spazio e nel tempo parquet a spina francese e marmi di Carrara intarsiati dialogano con sorprendente naturalezza con stampe giapponesi e statue thailandesi, tende di Hermès e tessuti Missoni Home, stucchi marocchini, carte da parati jungle e mobili su misura realizzati da artigiani italiani.

Inusuale il design del bagno che, insieme al piccolo hammam, sono state disegnate come vere e proprie aree di benessere per corpo e mente all’insegna dello stile e della filosofia dell’abitare di Devon&Devon.

Lo scenografico bagno padronale accoglie in un ambiente condiviso in cui ognuno ha, però, uno spazio personale: i mobili porta-lavabo per lui e per lei, i due grandi soffioni della doccia, le due finestre, le due piccole stanze con i sanitari e i due scaldasalviette Baccus di gusto rétro. La perfetta simmetria di questo spazio di coppia si sviluppa intorno alla grande vasca centrale, incastonata tra leggere pareti di vetro extra-chiaro e di marmo Calacatta lavorato in lastre così sottili da farsi quasi trasparente e permettere suggestivi giochi di luce nella porzione retroilluminata.

Parquet italiano e marmo sono stati scelti anche per il piccolo bagno della zona giorno e per quello della stanza degli ospiti, entrambi con sanitari sospesi Blues, accessori First Class e scaldasalviette Iside custom-made, sempre di Devon&Devon.

An exclusive Liberty style villa overlooking one of the most famous sections of the promenade in Versilia has just been renovated by the PJK-InnDesign studio, with elegant stylistic details that blend Italian artisan tradition with ideas inspired by the owners’ passions for art and travelling.

The design - the work of architects Massimiliano Tafaro and Alessandra Prezzi - has preserved the integrity of the fine architectural elements, reorganising the interior space, altered by previous interventions, to recreate the unmistakable brightness and typical composure of prestigious early 20th century buildings.

On the other hand, the decision to merge inspirations and decorative elements from faraway and ancient traditions is an original one imbued, in certain aspects, by a highly personalised interpretation: surprisingly, French herringbone-style wooden flooring and carved Carrara marble dialogue naturally with Japanese prints and statues from Thailand, Hermès curtains and Missoni Home fabrics, Moroccan stuccoes, jungle-inspired wallpapers and bespoke furniture crafted by Italian artisans.

The unusual, sophisticated design of the bathrooms and that of the small hammam are conceived as veritable wellness areas for mind and body, underpinned by the style and living philosophy of Devon&Devon.

The large master bathroom, with its extraordinarily striking aesthetic impact, welcomes the owners into a shared space in which each has their own exclusive, personal space: his and hers vanity units, two large shower heads, two windows, two small rooms where the sanitaryware is located and two retro-style Baccus towel warmers. The perfect symmetry of this couple-friendly space is developed round the large central bathtub, set between lightweight walls of extra-clear glass and Calacatta marble tiles so simple that they are almost transparent, hosting striking light effects in the backlit part.

Italian wooden flooring and fine marble are also the materials chosen for the small bathroom of the living area, and for that of the guest room, both with Blues wall-hung sanitaryware, First Class accessories and custom-made Iside towel warmers, all by Devon&Devon.
