The project stems from an idea of Stile Bottega architettura, young and dynamic architectural firm specialized in retail and interior design, and was developed in collaboration with Studio Associato Marchingegno and Baustudio. Thanks also to the partnership with the Fondazione Teatro Comunale of Bologna and Bologna Design Week..
We wanted to bring the physical space of the Theater to the center of the city scene, metaphorically recreating the City inside the Theater. Within the Respighi foyer, a poetic reinterpretation of the quintessential Bolognese public space comes to life: the portico.
To emphasize the ephemeral nature of the project, we designed the shape of the Bolognese arcades, transforming the solid walls into delicate sheets of fabric, masterfully illuminated by light effects that evoke the daylight transparency.
This project was made possible also thanks to the precious contribution of Leonardo srl, Artefatto by Mirco Lotierzo, Consorzio Cires, Viabizzuno and Galletti, which turned our ideas and projects into reality.
