A flaming red Gulmohar canopy sets the tone for the dwelling aptly named parkHAUS. It is part of a family estate, nestled in a sprawling, dense garden, which feels more like an exotic forest. The interiors are an exploratory journey through materials. A 35 foot wall is clad entirely in Brazilian granite filled with rubies. As you run your hands along the stone, specks of mica rub off onto the palms. It’s almost like you are taking a little piece of the house with you.

A Terrazzo flooring with large quantities of sliced semiprecious stones- Quartz, Agates and Aventurines, Jaspers -are individually placed resulting in an exquisitely designed bespoke floor created with the help of Bharat flooring. A discreet storage room is an extension of the concept of minimal boundaries within the space. It holds hand-picked objects with nostalgic value so when you go in, the experience matches that sentiment - it's a curated cellar.

The range of furniture pieces designed and produced for this house are the first of many from the inhouse design brand, KOY. A modular seating system, configures into tonal clusters of amber, amethyst and ice grey blocks to be moved around for a conversational night. The central stairway and other elements made from seasoned Teak throughout the house, were salvaged from an old beam from a family bungalow. Several stunning "live edge" wood pieces are found around the house, reflecting anothe KOY specialty - the art of recognizing true value in wood, and using ethically sourced wood for one off pieces.- Their crevices are filled with hand poured high quality transparent resin.

The basement is an expansive space with natural light streaming in through a glass skylight. A LED edge lit ceiling is suspended in the air to form a perfect visual grid.. On the floors of the basement there are graphic handmade dhurries and colorful armchairs from the KOY collection in an effortless congregation with the ethereal three piece offcut “Strawberry” coffee tables as the epicenter.
