The landmark hotel is located in the former heavy industrial area in the north of Hangzhou,China. Designer records the development of the city from a new perspective, making it could stand between the past and the future, enjoying the quiet and the prosperous.

With the upgrading of the city, a large number of traditional heavy industrial areas have been transformed into modern urban functional spaces such as commercial, hotel, and office.

Radisson Blu, a high-end hotel brand owned by Radisson Blu hotel group, first entered the complex of Hangzhou Xintiandi built on the site of the former heavy machinery factory. H DESIGN team began to take charge of the interior space in 2017. The creation of interior space continued the main style of the architecture and looked for an entry point from the environment.

The spatial plane is a diamond shape, and the interior corridors, ceilings and walls are also extensively used diamond to segment the lines, with gear elements appearing Integrated. The main line of the design combines the development of the local industrial history and the functional changes of the city. The hourglass symbolizing the passage of time and the light changing become the excavation point of the design. In addition to the industrial style of black, white and gray color, the design is integrated with the new blue-green fashion concept to create a stylish, elegant but with sci-fi sense space visual experience.

The highlights of the design is that the sculptural staircase in the center of the lobby, has been built up by deconstruction, forming a strong visual sense. It is a wonderful combination with the tall white columns that preserved in the structure. A metal arm is waving to pay tribute to the history of industrialization.

The inspiration for smallpox in the second-floor space is derived from the upside down of the rolling mountain in Hangzhou. The space is depicted in black and white, and the changes in morphology and texture present a rich and diverse spatial perception. What the designer wishes is that he hopes can bring people the most authentic feeling and different thinking naturally that arises at every moment when they walk in the hotel.

Moreover, the hotel also features a Chinese restaurant, a Japanese restaurant and a western restaurant with unique design styles. The 265 guestrooms, including 27 luxury suites, are all arranged around a diamond-shaped corridor. Minimalistic design brings a comfortable, warm hotel atmosphere and it also creates homely physical and mental experience for those people who comes here. Facing the city, from the modern infinity pool, we can enjoy a panoramic view of this beautiful "paradise city"and appreciate the tranquility.
