The project aim was to create a flexible apartment for a young teacher who wanted to renovate a 110 sqm flat in an historical building in Turin. The former apartment had a dark entrance and corridor giving access to a sequence of rooms. The client wanted to combine the living room and one bedroom; to achieve this, the project provides a big sliding door/wall which makes the space more flexible. The kitchen becomes a space of a social character linked to the living room extending its use beyond the mere act of cooking and eating. The extra bed room is designed as an extra unit to rent separately with its own bathroom and kitchenette.
