BMW SA Rosslyn Training Centre | Arca Unlimited

BMW Rosslyn required a training centre to facilitate a learning environment within the BMW Rosslyn Plant. In designing a centre for world-class training, ARCA Unlimited had to recognise BMW international standards and guidelines, as well as the site’s space constraints. Designed within the scope of BMW standards, the technical building boasts workshop training areas, lecture rooms, and offices; all situated around a courtyard atrium. Workshop training areas are located on the ground floor to allow access of vehicles and heavy equipment, whilst lecture rooms are upstairs. The atrium provides a space of social gathering and interaction and can also cater for events. The use of glass creates a strong visual connection between spaces; making learning activities visible from the outside and lending the atrium a sense of liveliness and dynamism. Offices with outside views are located on the south-eastern side of the building.
