The design concept for the hostel comes from the location of the building, in Tel Aviv port, on the heap of the Yarkon River. That inspired the choice of colorful containers anchored in port before leaving for the sea. As an alternative to expensive and prestigious hotels, the SPOT provides low cost accommodation with added value of content and community. There is a bar-restaurant, reception, games area, stage and movie room, and in the accommodation area there are 86 capsule rooms of varying sizes, as well as a tent floor and many laying chill out areas. The rooms are decorated in pleasant and quiet tones to soak up a calm environment in a small space. The public areas are brightly colored, with different textures, varying flooring, and graphic elements on top of the containers. The colorful and bold design produces a vibrant and young character that appeals to a diverse crowd from different parts of the world.
