BEMO has worked closely with its supply chain partner Prater to engineer and supply over 7,000m² of the N65 profile to the new roof on Court 1 at Wimbledon. The close working relationship between BEMO and Prater was vital to ensure that both design teams could coordinate to overcome the complexities of such a challenging project. BEMO’s engineering team designed the TP35 deck profile and tapered standing seam panels in 2-layer PVDF RAL6007 coated aluminium. The complicated shape of the roof took advantage of BEMO’s unique mass-customised BEMO-Flex sub-structure, which involved 3D surveys of the as built-structure to eliminate structural tolerances, ensuring that the external surface followed the design intent.
