The new complex in via Scialoia aims to configure itself as a 3.0 school, where the skills and teaching spaces merge with those of the local community.
The goal of the new pedagogy is to train not just students, but citizens of tomorrow. The evolution of didactic architectures implicit in the sense of active citizenship. The school as a place where the younger generations acknowledge the character of sharing and community. The new buildings are populated according to schedule and function both as schools and as a civic pole: a campus, with the possibility of making these two dimensions interact in a holistic sense.

The new architectures stand as the ‘hem’ of two parts of the city, mending the plot between them. The want is to weave close relationships with the context. The public space is built with a theory of accesses and routes and a focus on slow mobility and infrastructure of Neighborhood.

The Persian carpet with its geometric patterns is a metaphor for the garden of wonders. The carpet is one of the first places where we live and play during childhood. The project imagines an oasis-carpet built according to the ancient wooden game of Tangram. Everything is designed on the basis of a precise proportional system starting with 'Tan' forms. A square, a rhomboid, and five triangles isosceles, which can be assemble in countless shape and figures. The similar proportions give unity to the project allowing each of the schools to be decline according to system’s proportion geometries.

The classrooms / sections and the collective spaces of the schools are enriched with patios, light wells and balconies, in order to merge the different levels and at the same time to build relations with the outside. The continuity between 'private' life in the classroom and activities is turned on in the green outdoor (be it on the balcony or in the garden).

The construction is meant to be a dry assembly. The highly engineered prefabricated wooden elements figures are optimized by the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology. This provides high performance, optimized resources in CAM perspective, reduction of the CO2 footprint.

The new garden in via Rossi hosts a wooden structure with sliding walls. It is a meeting place for outdoor activities, shows, music or small events. This is in direct visual relationship with the new schools through context.
